Video games with female protagonists, or possible female protagonists

This is a partial list of video games featuring strong female protagonists or major supporting characters, or the option to create female protagonists. I made this list because I got highly annoyed by seeing certain people constantly complaining about how there aren't any strong female protagonists or characters in video games.  I've mostly listed RPGs and strategy games for the time being, as well as several high-profile titles from other genres.
There is no particular order to this list. I just typed the examples up as they occurred to me. That might change later, as I will most likely update this list as I go along. Most of these games are pretty enjoyable experiences, and I would personally recommend them.
